how did god get involved?

do not get the god debate, how god is embroiled into all of this. its mention and allusion but a distraction and flurry-inducing din of another sort.
the din is here and now, it is immediate and real and palpable and present.
if you do not collude with it, very well.

what is merely respect and an outpouring of emotions does not connote any kind of deification.
that 'deification' is but a tool you wield to put a label on a mass of people acting the same way. you fail to understand and capture the nuances of the herd, the reasons for the herd, the underlying singularity of an emotion felt so keenly. because you are always at the fringes – thinking, analysing, intellectualising, dismissing... you conveniently label it as a kind of mass hysteria because your precise failings are heightened and made glaring and apparent by this phenomenon.

but if you will, if you must, then at least this god has touched those (not mine) lives in real, monumental, inspiring and society-changing ways. other gods, as some merely 'believe' to have existed but have never met, remain unknown, nebulous and superfluous.
for the naysayers, recognise that the powerful and successful and influential will always be divisive and polarising, as you yourself, are. maybe you are both two sides of the same coin.
