" Nomads draw lines on the ground with their faces extremely close to the floor. Spread out and stroking the surface, so close to the mark that its dimensions ooze over its boundaries. Each line is slightly more than a line; each line becomes a 'line of flight': vectoral, showing a possible direction rather than a teleological joining of points. So the distinctions between ground, line and face blur, and the action becomes one which affects not only the ground but the art and the nomad too.
Close up- using what Deleuze and Guattari call 'haptic vision',
any system has possibilities."
-Deleuze & Guattari, A thousand Plateaus (1988)
i find this very romantic.
