cloud atlas yesterday left me euphoric on one hand, and mildly unsatisfied on another
repetitive messages that seemed to hit you in the face was as ironic in lieu of the totalitarian, power-over-weak agenda they were trying to illuminate. actions, consequences, the rippling of cause and effect were nothing new at all, and characters didn't have enough time to develop. the dialogues tho were engaging, and compelling i must say and overall it was an enjoyable ride. i just wished they maybe kept it to fewer stories and expounded on those. speaking of which, the futuristic guy played by jim sturges(?) in neo-seoul was pretty damn lip-smackingly cute, despite the, to some, somewhat laughable, prostheses that is. hur.
