well, i re-watched eternal sunshine days ago and this bit of dialogue btw them at the bookstore kinda stopped me in my tracks, not that the film on the whole did not. its just that,this scene was so genuine,and touching in a really mature, aloof and yet attached and matter-of-factly manner that it manages to garner a reaction even you yourself cant quite pin down, at least for me. anyhow, i love clementine's character to bits, and at times i just cant help but feel she deserves someone better than joel. tho of course he is a pretty tender soul and i guess its probably the case of opposites attracts- a theory i am still rather skeptical about. that said, jim carrey is unbelievable, so is kate winslet, and michel gondry- he's just beyond. some people just have all the talent aye...
