the restless wind that danced in the letterbox

Within this short span of days, i met up with two friends, both whom i havent seen in ages, on two occassions and who are heading back to down under...both meet-ups were equally fufiling i must say, as they let me in on life in melbourne and their holidays while i rant away the usuals of life here...sadly i forgot to take any pictures with either:( however, with both offering to put me up,(yes!) a trip there soon does sound extremely superbly enticing. Just maybe not in winter.
And thanks to keli and stacy, i was introduced to a lovely taiwanese band called Soda Green. And so,we caught them live at botanics yesterday evening. despite my first time hearing them, they definitely left their mark on me. And as they themselves put it, their songs would be the kind you can listen to lying on your back on the grass surrounded by the calm of nature. Great stuff.

And concerts are addictive, i want more more more!
On to other great stuff, two of the people i adore are on the covers of recent issues of magazines. Me is totally diggin.
some LOVEFOXXX gliteratti for you~

and quite possibly the coolest person i've come across, really

rush hour runs in the blood

yesterday was probably one of the longest and most productive days ever..its amazing how i can always always squirm my way through assessment and have most works completed, altho not very good, even when i leave it right down to the lastest of moments..Despite telling myself repeatedly after every assessment to not repeat the same shit, its feels almost immoral if i start early...yeah, i use that word-thats how bad it is, the last minute procrastination syndrome i suffer from which has now become a perfectly normal affair..sigh.. and so i officially did all of my 10 textile samples & editorial work from 4am to 2pm yesterday..my god, it seems that with every assessment i m constantly pushing the boundries of doing max work in min time..i think i m subconsciously playing some sort of game with myself, competing against time and testing my level of endurance and composure under tight situations-a lame game at that..haa.....its really bad...and i was late for the assessment, but luckily there were no teachers there, so heng..
some mad episode there..and even if its just for consolation's sake, i tell myself-next term, no more of such nonsense:)

just back from lunch w the fam and stuffed as hell, then its to some gig in the park later w the girls and celine's bday party after..lookin forward but i sense an impending fever but hopefully that intuition is wrong.

getting your groove back

So just the other day, we watched " Desperately Seeking Susan",this 1985 film starring Madonna in school..& apart from the rocking outfits they donned then, one other thing that got me hooked was this feel-good-get-on-your-feet-sing along number by madonna of course, which has been on repeat eversince..haha!such energy injecting hits are definitely needed once in a while, at least for me..so guys, get into those dancing shoes and groove along!

the rat that lost its tail

well well, these couple of days of festivity wasnt much of a festivity for me..cny was in short pretty much just a garbled-up meaningless affair of seeing relatives but talking to the same ones, awkward conversations and seeing the select same ones day after day to indulge in their favourite pastime- dai di playin, in which i lost pathetically..i never do win at gambling, ever. even reunion dinner was a quiet affair with just my family...cny seems to have lost what it used to entail, sadly. even the red packets are shrinking..damn!oh but on a great note, i made a satisfying collection of clothes fr the aunts..lovely clothes they had in the past really:)
5/1- movie at the dingy theatre

6/1- cny eve.last min trip to town
the quiet reunion dinner

just look at that face.HAHA

then the punters came..

midnight trip to get the blooms

7/1-cny

9/1- i finally got down to hanging the frames up...but somehow they didnt look as good as i thought...may be due to the placement or smtg i guess:(
