kiddin kiddin..we were totally taking a swipe at the hip hop culture la...it started with us being real last minute the day before and thinking what we sd dress up as for our visual class cos they said we could come as anything..so while all others glammed it up, we upped the funk and took it to the next level- yes obviously trying to be funny and making mini fools outta ourselves..i swear i was walkin with my face down the way to sch and cringing every now and then..but according to those classmates, i was super normal...oversized graphic bling shirt with trackpants that literally look like two sleeping bags..normal?hell no.

Boo! i have alot i should be doing now..school just started and i really dont wanna lag this semester..furthermore, i have nothing, absolutely nothing to complain about with brilliant lecturers this sem and super exciting lessons lined up. Get this, i ll be having lessons like art direction, fashion styling and fashion editorials! woo! enough to send that adrenaline pumping yawww! today we had styling and, and we have to come up with an 8 page shoot for a supposed magazine! woooohoooooooo, like we can do absolutely everything n anything we want! gosh! too good to be true!...and my previous worries and nagging issues are sorta eased a lil...with a lil help from some new classmates...haha!.....things are lookin up i must say..phew!!!hopefully it ll last me through...i just gotta tell myself to not sweat the small stuff and just, just open that door...a bright start to 2008, for now:)
oh and for the first time today i witnessed the tattoo-ing process...geezz, surely tempted as hell to get one..but i wont get it for the sake of gettin it...i mean, its gone pretty overrated w miami ink n what not, you know and i hate the overrated....well, that was just a thought, we shall see!

raspberry sorbet for your eyes

so my saturday today turned out to be berry rewarding i must say and unlike other saturdays,i spent my day painting my room! bravo! step one of the works and it was pretty much a smooth operation...all thanks to ng corinne! who came to assist me, cos i knew nuts how to paint..its not as easy as just slappin paint on okay! but i shall not go into that...anyhow, i got the wrong shade of paint and luckily my bro had leftover black, which i added to the original bubblegum-ish shade of scarlett to get the desired hue...fortunately, it turned out! well the process was pretty taxing on our weak arms, yah pathethic i know but we did it! thanks again cor! standby, u may be needed again anytime!:)

new fears old fears, but those that remain dear remain dear

Dont know why but recently, the need to blog is constant..and for me, i think thats a good thing. Anyway, my seemingly repetitive and lazy day-which includes waking up at noon, eating, watchin tv and sleepin again, ended off on a great note, with me meetin the sloth(i got his approval for this name) and remy. Well, what can beat a face to face,no holds barred conversation that is stimulating and gives you greater insight on yourself..we loved it didnt we? yes. heart to heart talk is always therapeutic and needed once in a while to place yourself back on track, relook things and possibly better yourself. Its like, every once in a while, things have to be gotten rid of in your system, like shitting (oh how apt), only its matters of the heart. Yes, dont hesitate, flush it all out, share it so that now it is evenly distributed. i definately walked away with a lighter heart and different perspective. I was literally walking with a spring in my step and glee on my face. That is all good and so needed now.

However, on a heavier note, my crisis in school is very much evident and disturbing. Argh, such a tragedy- one which i singlehandedly created from scratch. i dont even know what to say, i feel like just slapping myself.

But but, as i said, those that remain dear will remain dear and hopefully be here always. With this i shall leave you w this song i really like. Really beautiful and haunting. Still pondering if i should catch them at mosaic...cos i only like this song so far...teehee..enjoy!

the perfect kind of couple

i just had the sudden urge to blog about this picture here, which i fell in love with the moment i saw as it moved me in a strange bittersweet way and i guess its because it magically managed to encapsulate how a couple should be and look in my ideal world. Something about it made my heart skip a beat and the more i looked, the more i love and of course, felt a pang of jealousy. The fact that they look a tad mismatched, that their hands are so close to touching but are not, that they are not smiling and lookin like yet another one of those horrid lovey-dovey pairings, that they are not trying to pose for the picture but standing two abreast- all proud and full-fronted, that there is a somewhat air of mystery and intrigue surrounding them and that they do give off a slightly menacing vibe. So cool yet so effortless. I just cant take my eyes off. All these just amount to heaps of envy and yearning..

the last of my holidays

4/1- the super short stayover at my crib- which included the korean show, supper, DVD, break of dawn bus ride, porridge, battle at ck bai huo, KTV & great finds at chinatown..not too bad at all ...

this was what i was refering to..we were way too early, the ktv hasnt even opened its doors so we passed by the departmental store and decided pit our mix and match fashion skills at the unlikeliest of places...was pretty damn fun..again again!

yes! finally i bought the paint, in a super yummy shade of scarlett..but i might leave the paint job to the weekend...
oh and as usual, i left the work right down to the lastest of minutes..did a series of really child-like paintings to submit..pretty slipshod..hee
its back to school tmr first thing at nine to resubmit the work....boohooohoo..that means the hols are officially o.v.e.r!..but to my delight, there is only school on wed this week..yes! cos that means i have some time to do the room up...

and speakin of which, nice lil keli sent me these pics which i am def diggin! so i would say i m goin for the "quirky crack-house-chic/harmony-in-chaos" look....an eclectic mish mash of colours & textures, coupled w offbeat accents of boho and vintage does sound very me..no?kinda messy but very me.haha.. which is obviously the most important factor here, preserving/ summing up the essence of you in a space you can call your own..gets me all excited now!
