the light gleams an instant, then its night once more

"Seasons come and go,
shadows lengthen and contract.
Colours change with movement: psycho-cosmic Doppler shifts."

-Entrophy & Emergence, Jamie Brassett

:unravellings

" Nomads draw lines on the ground with their faces extremely close to the floor. Spread out and stroking the surface, so close to the mark that its dimensions ooze over its boundaries. Each line is slightly more than a line; each line becomes a 'line of flight': vectoral, showing a possible direction rather than a teleological joining of points. So the distinctions between ground, line and face blur, and the action becomes one which affects not only the ground but the art and the nomad too.

Close up- using what Deleuze and Guattari call 'haptic vision',
any system has possibilities."

-Deleuze & Guattari, A thousand Plateaus (1988)
i find this very romantic.

i say, lets play catch n release

the teacher is doing a masters in fine arts
she showed us her studio and spoke of e.e cummings,
the closed system, words, the non-linear method of reading, letters in suspension,
and indeterminacy amongst other things.

i felt genuinely interested, genuinely stimulated.
i would love to have a mentor right now.

the other day i saw this book and knew i had to get,
it found a way to creep into my consciousness for the next few days.
i got it today and boy am i glad.
when the material speaks to you in such a specific and intimate way,
you feel as if someone knows, someone gets it, someone understands.
its a profoundly magical feeling.

a friend suggested doing psychology with her in university
i would love to pursue smtg academic again
but then again, i would also like to do smtg totally open and free like fine arts,
a pretty grandoise thought, but yeah its interesting, no?
i dont even think i will end up doing any of these anyway.

c agrees i am a fucktard.
i enjoy being one sometimes.
i feel like an idiot, or maybe i ACTUALLY enjoy that feeling sometimes??
opps...
yes, i m warped.
these days, i m becoming very vocal about my thoughts.
its a little startling but refreshing i guess.
i think we really hurl some nasty, albeit funny stuff at each other these days in class.
its great.

throw me some wholesome shit any day.

shall leave u with-

(chanelling some e.e cummings here, lol)

stasis is a place you dont wanna go near

not that i dont already know,
doggish days for one and all.
he said he might kill himself and he attempted to,
via the least gory of ways of course
it didnt come as a huge surprise, somehow.
we are all the same,
through and through at the very core.

they stood before me for a good 10 seconds?
i did not notice,
i could have stood there forever.
we laughed at people who ate their sundaes in the weirdest of ways imagined,
observing and laughing at people is one of the crucial joys of life,
she turned her chair to face the man in the most indiscreet of ways,
he called us kpo,
we laughed.

the 12 yr old kid talks like an adult,
looks way beyond his years,
stands vertically way beyond his years as well.
says he hates the sun,
and hitler.
and asks me if i would sell my soul to the devil in exchange for something i want.
i said no, and he replied 'good',
talks to me about taking the stairs to conserve electricity,
says he is fine with goin to ITE,
his 7 year old brother was looking for his teddy's cock,
and knows about mammaries and their functions.

the kids have grown,
perhaps we should too.
stasis is a place you dont wanna go near.

fool for love and full of fire

" For a flawed soul yearns to be healed: in secular times, we require the stranger to complete us, where we lack the strength to complete ourselves. And so, each time the doorbell rang, Seigl's foolish heart leapt."
- 'The Tattooed Girl', Joyce Carol Oates

i opt for maximal.
OTT is the new understated.
entrophy rocks.

i really enjoyed the john galliano & alex mcq collections this season.
the shows were so well conceived and beyond amazinggg, really.

" i began to long for disorder, for someone who'd let me breathe.
sometimes, you have to run away from what you want to find what you really need."
(unknown, some ad on style.com)

24h Berlin

24h Berlin is television's longest programme ever: No actors, no screenplay, no tricks – just real life. A 24-hour documentary, told in real-time, airing September 5th. On that day, in 2008, a story both intimate and exotic began in Berlin, a story told from the perspective of the people. Exactly a year before today's broadcast, 80 camera teams immersed themselves in the lives of Berliners, for 24 hours.
The film strives for an up-to-date image of life in a modern metropolis while simultaneously providing broad evidence of our present: The reality of work, family life, city spaces, fears and dreams, fleeting moments and relationships in their naturally colourful forms – they all interact with one another, with the city as the stage that binds them together
.

sounds pretty darn familiar?

omg, this is exactly what jesse was talkin about to celine on the train in Before Sunrise.
someone's actually done it!

Henry Lawson ‘The Bush Undertaker’, in (ed. ) While the Billy Boils , p. 7
